Welcome to Kindergarten Soccer

Update 10/29, 8:00 a.m. Games are on! Please dress warmly and rain jackets encouraged. If you choose to miss today’s game, contact your coach to pick up your child’s trophy.

Who we are: Kindergarten Soccer is a program of the Zervas PTO. The program is an introduction to soccer and the focus is on having fun and developing confidence.

Who can play: The Fall league is open to Newton children who are currently in kindergarten in 2016-2017. In the Spring we have an additional division that is open to Newton children who will be in kindergarten in 2017-2018.

Location:  Games are played in Newton at Richardson Field.

Date/Time: All games are Saturday mornings. Dates are Sept 10 through Oct 29 (no game Oct 8).
– Students from Angier, Bowen, Mason Rice and Zervas play from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m.
– Students from the other Newton elementary schools play from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m.

Cost: The fee for Kindergarten Soccer is $70 if you register on or before August 23.  After this date, you may still register your child if space is available; a $20 late fee will apply. Enrollment is limited and handled on a first-come, first-served basis. If you need to withdraw your child, a refund (minus a $10 administrative fee) will be provided until September 13, 2016. Financial assistance is available and is confidential – please email us at newtonkindergartensoccer@gmail.com.

Equipment needed: Your child will receive a team t-shirt.  Every child must bring a size 3 soccer ball and wear shin guards each week. You may order this equipment through our program when you register.

Parents: Children must be accompanied by an adult – this is not a drop-off program. Kindergarten Soccer is run by parent volunteers, and we need parents to help as coaches and assistant coaches. No previous knowledge of soccer is required.

Thank you for your interest in Kindergarten Soccer!
